Here's a British Style Dragon. And for anyone more nerdy than me about mythical creatures, and it just so happens to be not a british dragon...then my apologies. Age Completed: 20

British, European . . . what does it matter what you call it? It's cool! You can just see it uncoiling.
I think I'll call it a Taco then. j/k. I agree, a dragon by any other name would smell like sheet...still. If you prick them, do they not laugh. Muahaha. Thanks for puttin up with me Meg.

Ah, the classic silhouette of the uncertain predator-- You don't really know what he wants, conversation or dinner. The very essence of tense apprehension. You know, some people, mostly those who haven't tried them, seem to think that the silhouette is extremely simple to do, and involves little to no detail. The fact of the matter is that the artist must pay attention to every line he draws to encompass the space, because it's the most noticeable and is even more vulnerable to scrutiny, whereas revealed art makes the necessary allowance for mistakes of the shell. It is in fact extremely detailed, and in many cases painstakingly drawn and inked. I think this is true in this case, as everything seems to be quite well proportioned and visualized. The question as to his features and coloration, and the position of his claw, seems to hint at a very strong sense of dignity and mystery, which lends to the popular rendition of the European dragons. I have no knowledge of the British ones though. ...Anothe1r interpretation, entirely different but just as possible, would be that his coloration is so absolute as to give the impression of every feature being obscured. Thus I'm reminded of the term 'oblivion.' And if his coloration is any indication of how his soul is, I think we're looking at a very 'not nice' creature. Another possibility for his claw is that he is leisurely disemboweling a victim for his dinner, or vengeance, and is blissfully enjoying the screams-- a common pastime for evil dragons, I hear. Right, far be it from me to interrupt him then.
I refer to the dragon as a British one, because the history(hehe) of Dragons as I understand it, is that what is now recognized as the European Dragon was first used and recognized by the British. But hey I could be wrong. I happen to think Silohuettes are pretty easy, however you do have to pay attention to different parts of the pictures, as you were pointing out. Othewise you look at the silhouette of a battlefield, and can't tell what the blast and fogs is happening. Thanks again Singe.

Hey, Singe, do you love to hear yourself talk or what? Cool dragon btw, Chris.
Lol, now now Thanna, I like to hear Singe talk. She should be a writer or something. A critic probably. Thanks Thanna

I believe it was an inside joke about nerddom on the part of good ol' Singe here (Go Singe 1). I like this dragon a lot, partially because it has so much weight and form and partially because it's a perfect rendition (accidental as it may be) of a dragon I try to draw named Deirdre. Excellent work. (Applauds cheesily)
Thank you, thank you, Naomi! Is this Deirdre a creation of yours or existing somewhere? Cuz, I've had this dragon in my dreams when I was young. And he had a name, that I can't remember...though it wasn't Deirdre. But anywho. Nuts and Nerds all around.
